Rodent Control

It's that time of year again when those " unwelcomed visitors" are finding their way into your homes. Yes, mice and rats are coming... As the cool nights become colder and winter creeps upon us, they will find ways to enter in search of water, food, and warmth. Mice and Rats will leave many signs like droppings, gnawed food containers, noises, and that quick sighting of something scurrying under your couch! Prevention is the best way to keep your home rodent free. Rodents reproduce quickly and even a small group of rodents can turn into a major infestation quickly.

A few tips to help keep your home rodent free:
  1. Keep food sources secure, especially dog and cat food. Sealed glass or metal containers are most ideal.
  2. Identify and seal possible entry points. Sheet metal and other strong materials help prevent rodents from chewing.
  3. Check the rubber seal on the bottom of your garage door. If you  see daylight, breaks, or damage they should be replaced. They easily find their way in your home at this area.
  4. Alternate food sources such as "feeding the birds or wildlife" are a big contributor to attracting rodents to your home. Limit feeding and clean up food debris daily.
  5. Consult a professional if you suspect a rodent in your home. Experience is a must when dealing with rodents.

Thanks for the tip to check the rubber seal on the bottom of my garage door to see if is damaged enough to let rodents into your home. There have been a few mice that have ended up in my garage, and until now I had no idea how they were getting in there. I'll look into repairing my garage door and calling a professional to help me get rid of the rodents.

I had no idea that rodents are pests that can scavenge your house for food while making weird noises. My uncle noticed that he's hearing weird squeaking noises around his attic, and it's starting to affect his beauty sleep. Maybe it's time for him to contact a mice removal expert for assistance.
